Life Extension Esophageal Guardian is a berry-flavoured chewable tablet formula combining Alginic Acid (1,000mg), Potassium Bicarbonate (40mg as Potassium), Calcium Carbonate (80mg as Calcium), Magnesium Carbonate (40mg as Magnesium), Strawberry Extract (416mg), and Ellagic Acid from pomegranate and strawberry extracts (35mg) per 2-tablet serving.
When chewed and combined with water, Alginic Acid and Potassium Bicarbonate physically react upon contact with stomach contents — Alginic Acid forms a gel while Potassium Bicarbonate releases carbon dioxide bubbles, together forming a temporary floating layer. Calcium Carbonate and Magnesium Carbonate are included to add buffering capacity and structure. This is a mechanical, physical-action formula rather than a nutrient-based supplement.
